About the Cabin

A charming, unique A-frame cabin in Colorado.

Wake up to spectacular views of Black Mountain and Staunton State Park. Early coffee with fresh mountain air. Nights in the hot tub under bright stars with mule deer for company.

We remodeled this cabin to honor what A-frames do best — warmth, simplicity, and that wide-open window onto the wild. Inside, it's cozy without feeling cramped. Outside, it's Colorado the way you imagine it: pines, peaks, and quiet. There are disc golf baskets on the property, snowshoes and fishing poles in the shed for guests to borrow, and a sunlit greenhouse for chilly mornings.

Minutes from Staunton State Park trails, 30 minutes from Red Rocks Amphitheatre, and 45 from downtown Denver. It's one of the more unusual stays you'll find on the Front Range — and that's kind of the whole point.

Good to Know

Frequently asked.

Why book direct instead of Airbnb? +

Booking direct typically costs you less — you save the platform service fees that Airbnb and VRBO charge guests. Payments are still secure (processed through Hospitable/Stripe), and you get the same cancellation protections. Plus, you're supporting us directly, which means we can keep improving the cabin.

Is this a good place to stay for a Red Rocks concert? +

Honestly — it's one of the best. Red Rocks Amphitheatre is about 30 minutes down the road, so you skip the Denver hotel chaos and traffic, then come home to a hot tub, mountain quiet, and zero neon lights. A lot of guests tell us it's the whole reason they booked. If you're looking for where to stay for a Red Rocks concert and you want something more memorable than a chain hotel, this is it.

Is it good for a romantic getaway? +

It's one of our most common reasons for booking — couples driving up from Denver for an anniversary, a proposal, or just a quiet weekend. Private hot tub under the stars, wood-warm interiors, and no noisy neighbors. Pair it with a Red Rocks show or a hike through Staunton and you've got a pretty solid weekend.

What gear is available for guests to use? +

Snowshoes for winter trail days, fishing poles for summer creeks, and disc golf on the property itself. There are also world-class disc golf courses (Beaver Ranch, among others) less than 15 minutes away.

Is the cabin pet-friendly? +

Please check current pet policy details in the booking widget or reach out to us directly. We love dogs, but some seasons and setups work better than others.

What's the drive like from Denver? +

About 45 minutes up Highway 285 — one of the most scenic drives on the Front Range. No mountain passes required, and the road stays accessible year-round (though a vehicle with some ground clearance is helpful in deep winter).

Do I really see mule deer? +

Regularly, yes. Mule deer move through the property, especially around dusk and dawn — often right up to the windows. Please admire from the deck or through the glass, and give them their space.

What's the check-in process? +

Self check-in with a door code sent the day before arrival. Full directions, Wi-Fi info, and a welcome guide go out the same day.
